The Savior Touches My Heart

Every day this week I have been listening to an audio retreat given by Fr. Don Driscoll. He is an excellent retreat master and very inspiring. He has given me many close moments with the Lord.
One day he talked about what God really wants from us. Over and over he said that all God wants from us is our heart. He doesn't expect us to be perfect or to constantly be doing things for Him. He just wants our heart.
I could not let go of those words. They really touched me. I have pondered them all week. I know the Holy Spirit was speaking through Father and touching my heart. I know I hold back on giving my heart to others, including the Lord. Is God asking me to finally let go and give my whole heart to Him?

Giving God our heart, I too hold back in that area at times. I'm going to have to check out the audio retreat. They must provide for some great "Sabbath Moments" as well. Thank you for your comment on my post. This man is very special, He truly radiates our Lord.

Judy, thank you for your kind comments. I think I give my heart to God some days and then I take it back again! I am a work in progress! God bless.
Just our heart, our love. Thanks, I needed the part of "not doing constantly." And don't we all hold back from Him? I don't know if it's because we fear we will fail Him or because we know He knows us through and through and we feel not worthy of His love. Profound post.
