Sabbath Moments - Roses and Spring

Sabbath moments are the moments we rest in God, when we take time to just Be with God rather than Do. Sabbath moments are also those times when we live in the moment and find the holy in the ordinary. I invite you to share your Sabbath moment(s) here on Saturdays. Be sure to sign into Mr. Linky below. If you don't have a blog, please share about it in a comment!
Some of my sabbath moments this week:
1. Eucharistic Adoration - 1 full hour in a silent chapel in the middle of the night. It felt like heaven to me.
2. Signs of spring - Cool sunny days. Lent. Ducks in the lake. Some birds flying north. Have you ever watched spring arrive?
3. I am taking time every day to sit in silence and listen.
4. Came home from work the other day to find a big red rose blooming in the small garden patch near our home. Another sign of spring and a reminder of St. Therese of Lisieux. Such a gift  - brought joy to my heart.

Spring is my favorite season - everything is fresh and vibrant. We are fortunate that Lent comes in spring in our hemisphere - a time of spiritual renewal joins with natures renewal.

Roses are my favorite flower. I think of Mary whenever I see them.

Please pray for me when you are in Adoration. I wish there was adoration in the local parish here. I vastly prefer praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament than at home in my room.

Barb, I will surely pray for you! I hope you have adoration near you sometime soon!
Roses are my favorite too!

These are delightful sabbath moments... especially the signs of spring's arrival!
What comes during silence and listening is amazing.

Thank you, Jade. I agree! When we sit in silence, we really hear! Thanks for joining us this week!

Hi Colleen! I love roses and like Barb they remind me of Mother Mary's title "The Mystical Rose". I think they are the most beautiful flowers of all!

Enjoy your cool sunny days while you can because it gets hot there! We had some nice weather this week too and Michaela and I saw 2 ducks. They weren't in the pond though because it's still not completely unfrozen.

Silence and Eucharistic Adoration are wonderful. I haven't been able to go at all this Lent because everybody here keeps getting sick, but I hope to make it this week.

Thanks for hosting Sabbath Moments!

Happy Spring-time, Colleen. You've chosen the better part. Adoration opens the eyes of the heart and prepares the soul to see. May Pope John Paul II's prophetic words come to an early fulfillment. The world can really use renewal.

Adoration is such a blessing, even when I don't feel like going. Signing up for an hour was a very good move on my part.

Mary, I agree with you about the roses! And the sunny days! I hope you can make it to Adoration soon. What a blessing!

Judy, thank you! Wonderful blessings for sure!

Joann, amen!!

RAnn, I know what you mean. There are times when I have not felt like going but I was committed. I am always glad I went.

Colleen, It's like you read my mind. In the middle of February, I have to always remind myself how lovely it's going to be a month from now...& I'm never disappointed!

therese, I know what you mean. I just love spring. Even in Florida it is beautiful. It just doesn't last long enough.

Barb, I've had Adoration from 6-8 a.m every Tuesday morning for the last 15 yrs. It's my therapy time & it's absolutely free :-) I am very happy to remember you to the Lord when I go!
It's a wonderful weekly Sabbath Moment.
