Sabbath moments are a way of taking time to rest in God, to enjoy God in silence or in nature. The word sabbath comes from a Hebrew word meaning "cease." And that is what we need to do sometimes, cease our activity and live in the moment and breathe in God.
I invite you to share your Sabbath moment(s) here on Saturdays. Be sure to sign into Mr. Linky below.
A lot of little moments this week -
1. Going into Blessed Sacrament chapel before and after each Mass. Silent prayer with Jesus. A favorite time for me.
2. Silent prayer time after dinner each weekday this week.
3. A hot cup of cafe mocha, sitting in my favorite comfy chair, listening to my wind chimes outside, feeling sleepy - what a peaceful moment.
4. Listening to daily gospel reflections on my iphone.

When I got home from visiting family, I realized that I was starving for the kinds of quiet you mentioned. It's great to see relatives and have a good time, but I need to stop the world every day to connect with God in quiet or I begin to lose touch with Him. Your post reminds me that some of us are very blessed to be given the opportunity to contemplate while others are blessed with the opportunity to find God in a more active way. The thing is, He always gives us what we need for the way He created us and the special job He has given us.
Barb, I felt the same way. And I agree, He gives us what we need when we need it. God bless.
How I love the sound of chimes!
So glad you have enjoyed such a peaceful, prayerful week.
Thank you for this meme that helps me to "take notice" of the special moments in my life.
Judy, thank you!! I need this meme for the same reason! Knew you would love the chimes.
