Much Is Required

"Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more." (Luke 12:48)
Since becoming Catholic, I have felt so blessed. My life has changed in so many ways. And my relationship with God has grown in so many ways. I could never have predicted it. Not any of it.
I know that I have been given much. I know much is demanded of me.
I am not talking here about doing as much as I am talking about being. I am talking about being a child of God and treating others like they are, too.
Is it enough to tell others what we believe if we do not live it?
We are not perfect. We are all sinners. But still, am I not supposed to bring Christ to others?

Am I not supposed to BE Christ for others?
If we have been given so much, should we not be spreading the Good News? Rather than judging others, should we not be bringing the light of Christ to all the dark places?
We are blessed to know Jesus. Should we not spread that blessing around?

Not by condemning. Not by judging.
We bring the light to others by loving.
Oh Lord, help me to be your light for others to see. Help me to love as you love. Amen.

Amen. People will know we follow Christ by our actions. God will judge us the same way. We must always be spreading His word and acting like He would want us to! God Bless.

Beautiful reminder that we are to "be Christ to others." It is something I forget sometimes, unfortunately.

No truer words have ever been written!

What a different world this would be if those of us who have experienced Cursillo would more faithfully live out its challenge:

" Make a friend - Be a friend - Bring that friend to Jesus".

Being Christ to others - yes, we are supposed to be that. I think a lot lately about rash judgment. We can't be Christ to others if we are constantly judging them.

Carol, I think most of us forget. We have to remind each other from time to time.

Michael, amen!!

Barb, I agree. I try not to judge and sometimes do it without thinking. But I do not want to be judged so I have to pray to get better with that!

Amen and beautiful, Colleen. It is grace that enables our union with the Trinity and grace that blesses us with faith and the desire to be perfected in the holiness of God. All glory to God.
