Sabbath Moments - Busy, Busy

Sabbath moments are a way of taking time to rest in God, to enjoy God in silence or in nature. The word sabbath comes from a Hebrew word meaning "cease." And that is what we need to do sometimes, cease our activity and live in the moment and breathe in God.
I invite you to share your Sabbath moment(s) here on Saturdays. Be sure to sign into Mr. Linky below!

Busy, Busy
It was a crazy week so it was very difficult to find those sabbath moments. Busy at work. Busy at home. But then, this is when we really need to try to stay still and listen and live the moment. We need this quiet time with the Lord more than ever. Makes me think of this quote from St. Francis de Sales - “Every Christian needs a half-hour of prayer each day, except when he is busy, then he needs an hour.” Amen to that.

Daily Devotions
I still manage to read my devotional every day and to read reflections on the Rule of St. Benedict. Reading and pondering each day's Mass readings, too. And the pope's daily homilies. What a blessing they are. Always inspiring.

Spiritual Communion- I am learning to live in the Light, remain in the Light and stay connected to the Light within me. My tendency is to switch back to living in misery, burden with interior pain because this is what I am accustomed to. Ridiculous? Insane?Absolutely,

Melanie, i think many of us do that - we feel more at home with the familiar. Jesus helps us feel more at home with Him instead. Thanks for joining me.
