Sabbath Moments: God-With-Us

Sabbath moments are a way of taking time to rest in God, to enjoy God in silence or in nature. The word sabbath comes from a Hebrew word meaning "cease." And that is what we need to do sometimes, cease our activity and live in the moment and breathe in God.
I invite you to share your Sabbath moment(s) here on Saturdays. Be sure to sign into Mr. Linky below!

1. I sat on my lanai one evening, praying. The moon was beautiful. It was full and a few clouds surrounded it like a halo. There were no stars though. Just a big black canvas with the moon stuck in the middle of it. God's gift.
2. Eucharistic adoration. Wish I could go every week. The Blessed Sacrament is such a miracle. A grace. A gift. God-with-us.
3. Watched "It's A Wonderful Life." A great reminder of how every one of us makes a difference in the lives of those we touch.
4. Read this quote the other day that just touches my heart:
"Jesus is the source of all beauty, joy and holiness." - Elizabeth Leseur
Soon we celebrate Jesus' birth. Emmanuel. God-with-us. Thank you, Father, for the gift of Your Son. Thank you for revealing Yourself in this way, so we can know you, and love you.
A blessed Christmas to all.

Please Note - No Sabbath Moments next week.

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Love that quote from Elizabeth Laseur. We are so lucky to have a God who loves us so much and who pursues us relentlessly. I'm taking the next two weeks off since we're visiting family in Texas.
